The 2018 Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans have been currently expanded to include recommendations for varied populations including Older Adults. The guidelines recommend less sitting and more movement throughout the day and maintaining current recommendations for aerobic exercise, resistance training, and balance / functional training.

Golf is a life-long “non-exercise” form of physical activity that can have significant health benefits. It has been demonstrated that playing golf by walking the course can lead to significant health benefits (e.g., weight control) and reduce injury.
